Miamisburg is a city in Montgomery County, Ohio. The city is part of the Dayton Metropolitan Area. During World War II Miamisburg embarked on many nuclear power operations. This power brought many large industries to flock to the city many of which still remain to this day. Miamisburg is famously the home to many retail and commercial outlets. The most famous landmark in Miamisburg is the Miamisburg Mound which is the largest conical mound in Ohio. The Mound was built by the Adena culture and acted as an ancient burial ground in its day. The streets of Miamisburg are full of homes styled with 19th century architecture. This is mainly in the area of Miamisburg where there are Victorian Style homes, mostly in the area known as “Old Miamisburg.”

Miamisburg Historical Society – The Miamisburg Historical Society is a non-profit organization that brings people together to preserve the history of Miamisburg Ohio. The society aims to assist the public in preserving the history of Miamisburg by first educating the public about its history, and assisting in the preservation of public landmarks. The most significant of these landmarks is the Daniel Gebhart Tavern Museum which was a local resident gathering spot that has since been preserved. The society welcomes donations and volunteers for their efforts.

Miamisburg Parks and Recreation – The Miamisburg Parks and Recreation looks to provide play spaces for all people of Miamisburg Ohio. The Parks and Recreation center believes that it is necessary to involve young people in physical education. Miamisburg offers a wide array of events and activities for people of all ages such as, Fitness plans for adults, dance and little league events for children, and events at the community center in Miamisburg.
