Centerville is a city in Montgomery and Greene counties in the U.S. state of Ohio. The town of Centerville has a total accumulated mass of land around eleven square miles. There are many early stone houses throughout the state of Ohio, Centreville has the largest collection of these houses. Many of them are listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The center of Centerville is known as “The Heart of Centerville” which is known for housing the “Town Hall Theatre” along with several boutiques, restaurants, and businesses.

The Society later changed its name to the Centerville Washington Township Historical Society to include the unincorporated area  to tell the complete story of our community and fulfill the mission of the organization.
